Nepenthes Copelandii Cultivation

Nepenthes copelandii is a recently re-discovered intermediate highland plant.

Cultivating Ease - Easy.

Type - I grow coplandii's as intermediates and highlanders.   They will also grow as lowlanders, but will refuse to pitcher.

Temperature - Copelandii has appeared to be quite a durable species so far. It grows better under intermediate to highland conditions, but has take some fairly hot temperatures as well.

Humidity - I usually keep the humidity around 75%.

Light - I keep my plants in bright light to full sun.

Moisture - Keep the plant moist. Since this plant can also grow epiphytically, I would not keep the soil overly wet.

Soil - Long Fiber Sphagnum

Size - Copelandii's become vigorous climbers

Details: An easy plant for the beginner.

Propagation - I have not cut this plant.

Forms - The pitchers can have a range of colors, especially the uppers, which can have a lot of variation. Upper pitchers are not usually produced until the vine has climber 3-10feet in length.
