Here's one of the few remaining old and mature plants at the location. This plant appeared quite old when I first saw it 6 years ago.
It has been in combat with the bush to the right ever since then.  Burns over the years keep the bush in check just enough for S. rosea
to compete with it. But they are essential wedged up next to each other.
