June 16, 2005 Roscoe Bog, South East Baldwin County
If you take the Foley Beach Express, you are likely to see S. leucophylla and
the flowers of some S. psittacina.
This toll road cuts right
through the middle of Roscoe Bog. Here's a stand of S. leucophylla that is about
a mile north
of the toll booth right next to the highway.
In this photo, you can notice that the large tall flowers of S. leucophylla
stand out. There is a particularly tall one mixed
in with a cluster
of about 4 flowers to the bottom left of the photo.
